I have run into a slight problem. The story is finished. Done, nothing more to say. Great right? Well, except that I still need 17,000 words to reach 50,000.

Time to do some novel padding.

I've fallen a little behind the last couple of days on my novel. I'm working on catching up though. I am still locked into OBSESSIVE WRITER MODE™ so it won't be a problem.

I got in my daily minimum word count and a little extra. I wrote 1996 words today putting me at 5405. Roughly 400 words ahead right now.

Wouldn't you know it. We were actually busy at work tonight. Still I had time to write before and during the night. Reached a total of 3435 words. That means I got in 1768 today.

The first day is done. I got off to a late start, but I got there. I cannot get onto the NaNo page right now. But by OpenOffice's word count I have 1685 so far.

I'm pretty confident about it this year. I already bought a frame for my winner's certificate.
